I asked to speak to a manager and explained the situation to which she replied 'you will receive it in 3-5 days but still no explanation as to why the room i reserved was not held nor any apology for the roaches. I said check me out and refund my resort fee and room deposit charge to which he replied that I would get the refund in 5 to 10 days. Immediately after turning the lights on in the room I saw roaches scattering on the dresser top (its white and very easy to see the roaches). I was sent to a different room (room 635) in the north tower. I finally went to the hotel lobby desk and waited in line for 20 minutes at which point, I was told that the room that I reserved was not available. After the 4th time and over an hour later I was still getting the 'your room is being prepared' message.
I booked a comp room this afternoon in the south tower, drove three hours to get there and attempted to use a kiosk to check in several times. I spent a few nights there over the summer and always felt that the rooms were dingy and tired for a casino hotel but I tolerated it because friends like it there.
