Since sports gambling was legalized, it opened its Barstool Sportsbook at various PENN locations. Barstool–known for its comedic sports content–exploded during the pandemic and started pushing gambling when states began legalizing sports betting. Back in February 2020, Wyomissing-based gambling company PENN Entertainment acquired 36% of the satirical media company Barstool Sports.
